St John's Youth Ministry
The years of high school are hard enough without some strong outside support.
Our youth group is called ‘The Roast’ and hopes to see young believers stuffing themselves on God’s word under dedicated leaders and in the middle of good relationships with other kids.
Want to know what's happening? Here's....(drum roll)....

How does it all work?
There are 3 aspects to our youth ministry:
- The Sunday Roast - Every Sunday 4.30-6.00pm (in school term in the St John's Hall)
This is our main group time where we play games, learn to pray, and learn the bible with as much discussion and interaction as possible. Some of our older kids then stay on for church afterwards from 6-7.30pm.
- Friday Night Roast - One Friday night each month (see below or upcoming events)
This is the time we try to help our kids to go a little nuts and have a lot of fun. Activities vary wildly from movie nights to lazer-zone nights to getting together with other youth groups.
- Youth Camps - two per year (see below)
These are really important for kids building relationships and having more time to think through their questions about God. We have two: KYCK Camp (April), Graduation Camp (October)
There are also a number of Christian groups meeting in local high schools. If you want you to be hooked up with one, just contact us. We are most involved with ‘JesuSpot’ at South Sydney High School on a Friday lunchtime. It’s great!
